Ultimate Job Security
Would you fire yourself? Would you lay yourself off? Look at the big businesses, who are the people getting laid off? It’s not the people at the top. If you want job security, work for yourself.
The Ace Hardware Entrepreneurship Study of 538 small business owners (businesses with fewer than 100 employees) found that 51% of the owners say they feel more job security by owning their own business than they would as an employee.
These people have taken on the perceived risk of an entrepreneur, yet they feel more secure. The illusion of security has been shattered for many as the company they have given their heart and soul for has let them go. In the end it might just be more risky to put your future, your livelihood, and your aspirations in the hands of an employer rather than in your own hands as a business owner.
